Who We Are

Who We Are

Al-Mustafa Welfare Society is a grass-roots, community-led organization established in 1999 to build civil society institutions and empower marginalized groups. With a dedicated team of volunteer professionals, we drive sustainable development and social change across Punjab.

Our History

Al-Mustafa Welfare Society Sheikhupura was registered in 2004 under Social Welfare Act 1961. A group of people started this organization with a goal to develop most backward areas of Punjab province. The head office of the organization is located in Sheikhupura, therefore organization is well involved at grass root level.

Our Philosophy

Sustainable development is a dynamic process posing various needs at different phases of time. These can be dealt with continuous interventions based on designed frameworks that incorporate the requirements, projected by the communities and with the help of the communities by strategizing for public-private partnership.

Vision.

With a vision to improve the quality of life of local communities through empowerment, Al-Mustafa Welfare is committed to address challenges of poverty, participation, education, health, justice and environment through all encompassing initiatives across Punjab.

Mission.

We believe that promoting sustainable development approaches is essential in the present context where development efforts often contribute to aggravate the destruction of the limited resources base from which many marginalized communities depend for their livelihood.

Key Objectives

  • 01To promote women participation in development activities and promote their socio-economic opportunities.
  • 02To organize rural and urban communities including children, youth, men and women for undertaking sustainable development initiatives primarily on self-help basis.
  • 03To develop capacity of the community based groups and networking.
  • 04To raise human rights awareness in communities to claim their rights from duty bearers.
